Oh hey there!
I’m so glad you happened by. I’m Alissa Mae - though everyone calls me Liss - and for the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of building a photography career rooted in passion, creativity, and genuine connection. I’ve been carrying a camera for as long as I can remember, but I remember a few distinct moments that made it real for me. The first of these was when I was 17. I was at church and someone came up to me carrying a newspaper. On the front page was a huge photo I had taken, with my name plastered underneath. For the first time ever, it felt like my work mattered to someone other than me. Fast-forward to my first year of college when I entered the university-wide photography competition. A month later, I learned I’d won grand prize. Soon after, my work was published in the international talent magazine PRAZE. Each milestone lit a fire in me and pushed me further into the world I knew I belonged in.
But the thing that anchored me wasn’t the recognition; It was the way people would look at their photos and say, “I never like myself in pictures… but you make me feel beautiful.” As someone who spent years grappling with the same insecurities of how I looked, I knew I wanted to give people that joy & confidence for the rest of my life. So I threw myself into studying light, angles, posing, and the subtle art of helping people feel at ease in front of the camera.
Photography has become my way of honoring the energy, emotion, and unforgettable moments that make each story unique. I’m here to create imagery that feels vibrant, intentional, and timeless - photos that not only capture you, but celebrate you. Photography has been my way of honoring people - their stories, their strength, their love - and I’d love nothing more than to help tell yours.
